Click vinyl flooring or Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) is a durable, top-down waterproof flooring made from limestone and PVC. It features a rigid core for stability, easy click-lock installation, a built-in underlay, and realistic wood or stone-look designs.
Benefits of SPC Vinyl Flooring
Great diversity in decor options for both wood and stone looks.
Waterproof from the top down and very heat stable compared to glue down vinyl.
Click-and-lock systems allow for quick or DIY installation, reducing the project timeline and cost.
Challenges of SPC Vinyl Flooring
Click joint structure tends to be more fragile than laminates and so a level substrate is very important.
Hard surface and can sound ‘clickety’ under foot due to floating installation. Additional underlays cannot be used due to bonded acoustic layer.
Requires stringent adherence to installation expansion gaps and breaks, limiting the seamless flow of floor from room to room.
